Optimal PCB renovation

We have developed the SPS series specifically for effective use in optimal PCB renovation. Since the beginning in 2007, we have had a commitment to make our products as little harmful to people and the environment as possible. Therefore, our SPS series is not epoxy-based and has such a low MAL-Code that it can be used by anyone and allows for other concurrent work. The SPS series is certified with the Indoor Climate Label as the world’s only PCB sealer, and we are extremely proud of that.

SPS Primary and SPS Primary Winter are designed to cure quickly without the use of solvents. Most other sealing products on the market require 24 hours of curing time between layers, which leads to unnecessary waiting time and higher project costs. The SPS series requires only 30-60 minutes of curing time between layers, and with 2-4 layers, it means that the sealing work can be completed on the same day it is started.

Exactly 24 hours after the sealing work has been completed, work can continue on the sealed surface. This can include the installation and sealing of windows or painting over the sealing, for example.

This can already be done from 1 degree Celsius with SPS Primær Vinter – there is no other PCB sealing product on the market that offers this.

Consideration for the user and the environment

It should be obvious to everyone that the chemicals we use should be as little harmful as possible, both for humans and the environment. It should also be obvious that we should not seal harmful substances such as PCB with other substances that are themselves harmful.

The SPS Series is based on silicates and contains no harmful substances such as solvents, plasticizers, preservatives or epoxy containing bisphenyl a (bpa).

The MAL codes for both SPS Primær and SPS Primær Vinter are 0-3, and can be used by all technical personnel without an epoxy course. This means that while sealing work is being carried out with SPS products, other work can be done in the immediate vicinity without everyone having to wear special respiratory masks or, in the worst case, the entire construction site having to be closed off.

Can withstand comparison at any time

Every PCB renovation has its own history and recipe for a PCB-free indoor environment. However, all PCB renovations have in common that PCB sealing is involved to a greater or lesser extent, as the remediation of the primary source of PCB contamination alone does not remove the contamination, but only eliminates the cause of contamination (here and now).

When PCB-containing surfaces have been remediated, they need to be sealed. There are several different products available on the Danish market for PCB sealing, all of which can seal PCB to a greater or lesser extent. However, no other products offer the same user-friendliness, environmental considerations, traceability, and application possibilities as the SPS series. We have been involved from the beginning and have developed our sealing products “first hand” based on the experiences we have gained over more than 10 years. We always develop our products in close dialogue with advisors and contractors, with the greatest consideration for users and the environment. That is why all our products are not based on epoxy, which according to the Danish Working Environment Authority, is harmful and should be limited, as epoxy can have allergenic properties and cause serious health damage with prolonged exposure. Contains carcinogenic substances such as bisphenol A. Our PCB sealing products are extremely effective, innovative, and can be used by all technical personnel.
